so, a year ago I was at my grandmas (me and her are total geeks/nerds for programming) I was downloading an "animation app" which was actually a virus. it gave me a fake McAfee or whatever it's called I don't use it. but I opened task manager because there wasn't a close button and the pop up was above task manager. me being like "oh yk it's probably my computer" well 10 minutes of waiting task manager was still behind it so after 3 minutes of trying and failing to get the part of task manager to close the pop up it worked; I closed Bing and went on my merry way not realizing the app I downloaded 1. wasn't there and 2. was a virus. I open Bing and shit pops back up... i got it to close and I opened start and there's ads. this got me sus, so I did a file sweep using windows security which we all know how that goes..."0 viruses all set" no I refuse to belief that, so I downloaded Malwarebytes and it got rid of the virus after an hour. Anyways this was the fake app store virus cuase i was an idiot back then.
