I’m going to school for gaming development and simulation, and I’m considering buying another computer strictly for school since I know I’m going to need to run certain programs and need it to run already well currently I have a “NIMO 17.3" FHD IPS Laptop” and I was skeptical but it’s actually been an an amazing computer for what I’ve used it for, I play some games on it. Nothing too crazy but enough to test it.
The specs on it are :
-1TB memory
-32GB RAM
-128MB Graphics card (intel UHD Graphics)
And it’s a 12th gen intel core i3-1215U
I’m not a complete idiot when it comes to computers, I’ve always been really good with them but when it comes to specs I know the general things to look for.
I’ll be doing design, 3D modeling, programming, animation, software engineering and want to make sure I have the proper computer.
So my question is I a guess should I use the one I currently have and just get a new one for gaming, or get a new one for school, which computers would be best for running the programs I’ll need, it unfortunately would have to be a laptop as much as I’d prefer a desktop cause I’ll need to be able to take it with me.
Price range wise I’d like to be responsible BUT I also know you tend to get what you pay for when it comes to computers so I’m open to all suggestions so I can have a general idea of what to be looking for spec wise.
Thank you for any and all help I very much appreciate it !
