There's too much backstory to cover, so here's the gist.
Our (British) son is currently living with us in Ireland, but we're moving back to the US in a month, and he's been accepted on an MA course at the Shakespeare Institute, and what that means is that he is scrambling to find a place to rent in SuA that he could move into essentially now. Already hard because it's long distance, harder because he's a young man (though honestly you'd be pressed to find a quieter and more polite young man), and hardest because he/we are under such intense time pressure.
Frankly, if we could choose not to move back to that dumpster fire, we would, so we're 100 percent in support of his plan...emotionally, financially, whatever it takes.
But he's getting the runaround from estate agents, and we're trying to let him tackle this on his own, but also, if anyone has any insights, tips, or a one-bedroom flat to rent that is within a mile of the center (he doesn't drive), please share.
