external camera for timelapse

I’m thinking about getting a Bambu Lab A1 3D printer, but I’ve heard the built-in camera isn’t great for making smooth timelapse videos.

I’m looking for an external camera setup that isn’t too expensive and can produce smooth timelapses where you don’t see the print head moving around between shots.

I was considering the Tapo C100 camera, but I’m not sure if it’s suitable for this kind of use or how I would actually connect or configure it so that it takes a photo every layer of the print.

From what I understand, the printer would need to trigger the camera automatically, but I don’t know if that’s possible with something like the Tapo C100, or if it only works with more advanced DSLR-style setups or specific shutter control systems.

Any advice would be really appreciated. If you’ve got a timelapse setup that works well with the Bambu Lab A1 (especially using an external camera), I’d love to hear what you use and whether it’s worth buying.

Thank you!

i need a little advice

So i want a 3d printer but i dont know what one to buy, i want to print in my room as i have nowhere else to put it, i have a built in closet in my room so i thought id just put it on a shelf in there with an air purifier but apparently its a bad idea with the A1 so i thought about the p1s but it’s meant to be louder and im worried about getting to sleep with it in the background and i’m not sure i want to buy a non bambu printer, so if you have any suggestions for what printer to get or if its okay to put it where i plan too please let me know. thanks

so I’ve never used TV mate before, but I want to use it but I’m really confused on how it actually works. If I pay for a premium can I just get all the movies and TV series i want? I don’t understand the whole add a playlist thing. A quick breakdown would be really helpful, thanks
