Losing the game at deployment.
Does anyone else feel like it is way too easy to lose the game at the deployment phase? I am by no means an expert at the game, still learning the competitive ropes and such, but just as a game system 40k feels extremely punishing to early mistakes. Because it is so difficult to redirect units into other parts of the battle, there is almost no way to come back from small misplays at the start.
Is this accurate or just my noob showing? For reference I play Space Wolves, who are obviously not doing great right now, but it feels like I can tell after the first turn almost if I'm going to lose because of seemingly minor errors.
Note that I'm not talking about getting shot off the board immediately or any major blowouts like that, more just a sense that in already fighting uphill after deploying.
Do you think 11th will alleviate any of this with the new deployments or objective changes?
