Confused if I should pickup Actuary

Hi

I finished my BSc in Physics and MSc in Data Science. (Picked DS becoz i wanted a faster well paying job)

I am currently working as an AI/ML Engineer at a startup with 14LPA package for 1 year and this is my first company.

I attended the entrance exam for Actuarial Science after my BSc, but didnt go on further.

Recently, I was considering if I should explore and try attending these exams for

  1. Add to my CV

  2. Know more about finance

  3. Slight speculation that engineering could go down in sometime(at least 10yrs) in future

  4. I love maths and I am good at it.

  5. Well paying job

  6. Should be fun (as in a flexible and friendly work environment)

I have these questions before I lock in on my options.

Is it worth going down this path?

Should I consider other options? What are they?

I went through other conversations and people in this field aren't particularly happy about their choices.
I want to have better inputs before I start my journey.
