Hey Everyone!

I’m looking for playdate buddies for my pit mix (possibly coonhound/boxer too). I adopted him from the shelter in Aug of last year and he's come a long way — he loves people and plays great one-on-one with bigger dogs.

A few things to know about him: he's high-energy and a wrestler, so he does best with confident, larger dogs who can match his energy. He's not a good fit for small or elderly dogs, so we'd want to keep that in mind when pairing up.

We've stepped back from dog parks because the group setting tends to overstimulate him — but that's actually exactly why I'm reaching out! Structured playdates are how we're building his social skills and working toward eventually being able to handle those bigger environments. One-on-one and a full dog park are very different worlds, so I'd love to find that middle ground. If you have two big dogs, that's even better — a small group setting is exactly the kind of controlled practice we need!

My dog could really use the socialization and without dog parks as an option, it’s very difficult to do so. If you have a big dog (or two!) who enjoys a good romp, I'd love to set something up! 🐾
