Settings for astrophotography

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to shoot the Milky Way with my Fujifilm X-T5 and Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR, but my camera images are coming out completely black while my phone clearly captures stars.

Current Settings

  • Shutter speed: 15 seconds
  • Aperture: f/2
  • ISO: 6400 (also tested 12800)
  • Manual focus
  • RAW
  • Tripod

What I've Checked

  • Lens cap removed
  • Lens mounted correctly
  • Aperture ring set to f/2
  • Focus mode set to M
  • Shutter dial set to 15 seconds
  • Stars are visible to the naked eye
  • My phone captures the stars successfully

Problem

The X-T5 image is nearly or completely black, even though the same scene is visible on my phone.

Questions

  1. Is there a setting on the X-T5 that could force exposures to be black?
  2. Could this be related to preview settings, dynamic range, or exposure simulation?
  3. Has anyone encountered this issue with the XF 23mm f/2?

Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.
