Anyone familiar with this (common?) issue?

Carpet pad is soaked, is it ruined?

How do I keep this from happening again?

I am going to test the sunroof and door drains to make sure they are not clogged. With the carpet removed, I am hopeful that I’ll be able to see the water coming from somewhere?

I’ve also got the technical docs for the whole car from erWIN.

Now, I must sleep.
