It happened twice in the last week, seemingly at random. It makes this very loud screeching sound and turning the volume down all the way does not stop it. It lasts for a couple of seconds.
It's terrifying.
Has anyone else had this happen? Could it be a software glitch? I'm on the latest beta build.

I should specify that this is a pull request, not a full nighlty build. I haven't tested it properly yet. I'm sometimes getting a crash soon after my game loads up. But otherwise it seems to run well! Maybe you will have better luck with this.
(Also i meant *black grass in the title. Sorry.)

u/Prestigious_Yam3659 posted a link to a new version that supercedes the one above and claims to fix the pixelated textures many of you are encountering, as well as improve performance.
