Help; I think meditation is giving me flu like symptoms?
I’ve recently started meditating and on a two month daily streak. I’m loving it and it’s definitely helping in terms of clarity and giving me some space from negative thinking, following an extremely stressful time I’ve had for the last two years or so. For a few weeks I’ve had a low level malaise, which when I think back coincides with when I began meditating. I didn’t think a lot about it and continued with work. As my ability to meditate is increasing I am able to meditate around 30 mins for each sitting x2 daily. . I’ve noticed that increasing the time has brought on stronger flu like symptoms afterwards and I’m pretty confident now that it’s directly related. I get a sore throat, extreme fatigue, heavy head, sore joints. I’ve actually had to take some time off work. What is this? Is it positive or negative? Am I doing something wrong?
