One or two ceremonies?
Hey everyone, hope you're doing well in class or enjoying your break. This post is more out of curiosity than because of an actual issue I have. I’m still a long way from graduation.
I’ve got a question mainly directed toward anyone in a combined degree program (BSc/BEd, MD/MBA, etc.). As the title suggests, do we get one or two ceremonies? The same goes for other things like class composites, v-stoles, etc.
Since combined degrees have you transition between different faculties during your program while also earning two separate degrees, in my mind, it would make sense to have two of everything.
At the same time, I could also see there being only one ceremony/composite/etc. since you aren’t enrolled in both faculties simultaneously. Plus, the university probably doesn’t want to go through the work of organizing two separate occasions.
So graduates, what was your experience? And if you’re not a graduate, what do you know or think about it?
