I work in sales and we had the dreaded mandate to use AI because cuts were coming and AI will replace us all. The problem is that it’s terrible and there’s no way for it to replace my team. So we decided to just keep doing what we’re doing and enter everything into AI like we’re just cataloging our work. We actually got an award for token usage and being leaders for jumping in so fast but the AI has made no difference in our work. The only thing I’m kind of scared of is that tokens are so expensive the company might not last.
