I've been donating blood since I was 18 years old. I'm much older now and it's getting harder and harder to get an iv in. Every time I want to stop donating they throw out that my blood is essential because I'm O- and (I'm going to butcher it) cytomegalovirus negative? What is it essential for or are they lying?
