Hey everyone,
I just received my first fixie from a colleague (it’s a Lamona Juventa, aluminium frame). It’s not in perfect condition but overall seems alright to me.
I’m trying to figure out if this is a good base for a project bike or if it’s not really worth investing time/money into compared to buying a better used fixie.
I’m also interested in turning it into a small custom project.
I can do most of the work myself since I have a mechanical background.
So I’m basically wondering:
What should I do first?
Is this type of bike worth upgrading or should I move on?
What are the first upgrades you would recommend on a budget?
Any parts I should avoid upgrading on a low-end fixie like this?
Any general advice for a first-time fixie project?
