So I tried 3 courses of Rifaxmin last year but they didn't work symptoms-wise and breath test results didn't improve either (they got worse actually)

But at the time I was on PPIs long term (for over a year) for my LPR which made my digestion worse and I suspect I actually had low stomach acid rather than high.

So the doctor said Rifaximin is not working and stopped prescribing it. Since then I have been living with bloating, always full stomach with indigestion. One difference would be I've also been PPIs since they didn't seem to be helping with my LPR either.

Now I'm wondering... now that I'm off of PPIs, my gut is in a different condition. Could Rifaximin work if I tried it now? Anyone have any experience or insight about this?
