I plan to start a CFO services / outsourced full cycle accounting firm in the next two years or so. My background is in CFO services and currently working to get CPA even tho it's not required in this line of work. I already have a couple of clients who I do full cycle accounting work for.
The idea is simple and a model that's currently working. Get small to medium sized companies as clients who doesn't need or want their own accounting department. Employ local US talent in client facing senior roles who review work papers, post entries and have access to banking information. Hire foreign talent overseas to complete work papers, prepare entries for accounting system and documentation.
I have been reaching out to random people who are working in CFO services firms or from the same background / University on LinkedIn. It's not working.
Where would i find like minded individuals who is not ready right now but is actively looking to work towards starting a firm with me in the next couple of years ? People who are passionate about watching small to medium size grow, provide full cycle accounting, help bring in clients and train both local and foreign talent? Someone who wants to see this dream with me and make sacrifices to help us make it?
