I am looking for a hairstylist who understands and can abide by NO LAYERS. I have been going to a stylist for years now and while I cannot find anyone who does the highlighting better, she insists on layering my hair even though I tell her not to, every time. This last time was the final blow. I actually went to Supercuts the day before and the girl there did a great job starting what I wanted (I lied and said a friend of mine is going to cosmetology school and asked if she could do it). I was looking to build on that cut and now it's a layered mess AGAIN that I paid a fortune for. She claimed she was following the picture I showed her but my hair looks nothing like the picture.
I'm not looking for anything fancy with any styling (honestly, I just assume they leave it wet), just a basic cut that is angled NOT layered around the front around my face, like curtain bangs that fade into the hair. For reference, I am a woman in my 50's with slightly wavy hair and keep it about shoulder length or a little longer. Anyone know of someone who will give me a good, basic cut that is not a 4 hour long fancy mullet (color a bonus)? I know it can be done. I used to go to someone who always did a fantastic job but she moved to Florida.
