Help Around Parent Password

I have a chromebook, it's about 3 years old and acts like it's 15. slow, glitchy. anyways, i want to get some ad blockers and such from the Chrome Web store to ease the strain on my computer trying to load them in when i open a site.

For that, you need a parent to put in their password thing. whether it's a google password or parent password, doesn't matter. My dad doesn't know where it is, and he gets frustrated when i ask because it takes him so long to reset it. Mind you, he chooses not to save it for "security reasons". He's the main one in control over my stuff, my mom can see it but I don't think she messes with it much because it will send my dad off. My dad doesn't have bad intentions, but he gets very stressed easily and is likely to get mad and shut stuff down if he gets worried.

I need a way to download an ad-blocker and other extensions without needing a parent to sign in.

Yes, i have tried downloading some from the app store, but many aren't compatible with chromebook or just don't do anything. Help!

Looking for BASL resources

Haiii! I am a hearing person, to start off. I work at the public library in my city (Virginia) as a junior librarian, and interact with a wide range of people on the daily.

Whether hard of hearing, deaf, Deaf, special needs, or talking with toddlers (a lot of babies in the area seem to be learning basic ASL, very helpful) I feel like i'm not hands on enough with trying to learn new languages. I'm starting with ASL because i've even interacting with it the most. I chose BASL because of the area, there's a lot of black people like me, mainly older ones- especially veterans.

I did try to do my research! I have an ASL book that I got, but I'm thinking it might be dated since I thrifted it. I do try to watch informative videos as well, mainly from LearnHowtoSign. I feel like i'm not being hands on enough though, and LearnHowToSign isn't teaching BASL, and being a slow learner isn't helping. Aughhhh.

I know i'd do better if I was in a class as i'm a visual learner, but I don't think we have the money for that right now. What resources could I use on paper or online? What other tips are there?

The ASL I do regularly is so-called baby sign language ("more", "thank you", "eat", "more" and my personal favorite with toddlers, "stop".) These lil' things are in diapers and are more fluent than me.

A while ago, my phone screen cracked for seemingly no reason.

I was given a choice between a flip phone or a dumb phone (think a senior corded jitterbug or something). i'm not leaning towards the latter. My current phone is dangerous with the cracked glass, and the expanding cracks are making it hard for the screen to recognize my taps.

I did look up some phones on a site called Y2K Phones that I do like (yes, I was looking for some pink girly ones!), but i'm not sure how to properly make sure the phones would work on my wifi. They link frequencycheck.com as a site to check which phones can work with your wifi carrier, but I'm not sure it's frequently updated.

Running through the search for Verizon (my current carrier, though i might switch to Mint Mobile in the near future), I only see maybe five options (none of which are on the site) pop up. The same for Cox, T-Mobile....maybe I don't understand how the search works, or i'm just super dissapointed- but I need help either way! I would think at least one phone would work with common wifi.

Are there any other sites I could use to check compatibility? Or are there any recommendations for flip phones in general?
