Sorry for spamming this page with posts, but I want you all to know what kinds of things are totally okay and encouraged. I added a post flair just for recipes since what you feed your body is just as important as what you train 🫡 if I haven’t mentioned it, I am on a fat loss journey. I have been using an app (Lose It!) to track my macros and log my progress. Lately I’ve been really enjoying diced sweet potatoes, eggs and bacon with hot sauce and sugar free ketchup! It’s so filling and relatively low in calories 😋 let me know your favorite breakfast foods!

In case anyone needed ideas for training - I’ve been practicing with the turning kicks and punches. But I’ve only been doing sets of 10, with 2lb weights in each hand. I’ve also incorporated ankle weights for strengthening my legs… one day I will have the courage to practice using a body bag at the gym. Today is not that day. 😂 let me know if you’ve given this a go and how you feel afterward!

I am currently the only member here but here goes nothing. ACOTAR, TOG and The Cruel Prince series are a few of my favorite series ever. If you’re here, I can safely assume you’re a fan of ACOTAR - but anyone here read The Cruel Prince? I have to talk about my girl Jude Duarte. She, along with Nesta and Feyre, is one of my reasons for wanting to do functional training. One of my favorite quotes from Jude:

Just wanted to toot my own horn to say I ran a mile at 7 minutes 35 seconds… with a 12lb vest on today! (treadmill). I have not accomplished this time since high school. 🥹 it’s things like this that remind me why I wanted to start training to begin with! next goal is to gain more strength in my legs so I can kick better (muay thai) I will show my routines for that soon!

This group is for anyone interested in training their bodies as Nesta, Emerie and Gwyn did. Maybe we won’t be using obstacle courses and swords, but we can train our bodies in all sorts of ways to become strong warriors. As for me, your moderator - I am just a warrior in training. Nice to meet you. The intention of this group is to encourage, motivate and inspire each other.
