Hey so I'm in a predicament. In four days I graduate with a bachelor's in lib arts which I chose to major in because it could be done online while I worked full time as learning support in second grade (done without certification at a charter school). But because I didn't graduate from a teacher prep program I don't really know how to continue teaching. I'm moving to Illinois over the summer and my intention is/was to teach but I don't know how I can.

I know I have to take a teacher prep program but can I do that while I teach there? I have no problem working and going to school full time (that's how I did my associates and my bachelors), but is there any way I can teach and go to school at the same time?

I know that Chicago has paid teacher residency programs but they don't pay well and I can't afford the pay cut (about a 20k loss). If anyone has any advice at all, please let me know. All I want to do is teach, it's my favorite thing ever, and I'm heartbroken that I might not be able to do it.

Sorry if this is worded poorly or confusing, I'm really not okay right now.
