help for a beginner!
Hello! I do arts and crafts with kids and we’re going to do mosaics next month and so i made a sample to show them what we’re making and to do some trial and error and i have definitely had some error lol. i’m wondering why the grout is cracking so much! did it settle in because i didn’t use enough? are the tiles too close or far apart? is the pre mixed grout from amazon i used just not good enough? any tips would be helpful! thanks!
it’s set inside a wooden plate, i used just plain clear Elmers glue to place the tiles (since i couldn’t find what kind of glue to use) and let it dry over night. the next day i used a palette knife and my fingers to press the grout in, tapped it a few times to settle it, and went in with the grout a couple more times. (i may have layered it too much bc it would dry some and i would wipe it away and then add more) i let it dry for about 20 minutes (the grout said 15) and wiped it away and added more on top which may have been where i went wrong. anyways im over explaining
