Hi everyone,

I’m currently experimenting with deep eutectic solvents (DES), mainly acid-based systems where one of the components is an organic acid. So far, I haven’t had much success..in most cases, simple solvents like methanol or ethanol seem to outperform my DES mixtures in terms of extraction efficiency.

I’ve been working primarily with wood samples, but I’m considering switching to other plant matrices to see if the results improve.

Does anyone here have experience with DES in similar applications? I’d really appreciate hearing about your insights, tips, or even negative results. anything that could help me better understand what I might be missing.
