My dad had these on a Ziploc bag, tucked away in a box of personal items in his closet. He must've thought they were worth saving since they were kept aside, even though he had a fine silverware set elsewhere that would get brought out once in a blue moon on the holidays.

I know very little about silver. Could anyone tell me anything about these that might make them more special than your average fine silverware set? My dad was not particularly sentimental..
