I’m pretty sure my 2013 ford fiesta (208,000 miles) is starting to have issues with the TCM, it’s being picky about when it wants to shift into reverse and above 1st. This only happens about 20% of the time but that’s still not very reliable. I can usually turn the car off, let it sit for a few minutes and turn it back on a few times and it’ll eventually shift to get me back home from where it tries to abandon me. Does this mean it’s starting to fully go out or could it be a sensor or something? I haven’t checked the transmission fluid yet because you can only check it from underneath and I just haven’t had to motivation to fully jack up that low ass car. Also, any tips on repairs would be much appreciated!
