Quick question

So, I'm starting a new campaing as a PC, and I decided to start with a Blackbeard licence cus, he is my beloved, which I want to get to LL3, but, after that, I am thinking of what to do with my licenses next. The ones I am thinking the most are Atlas and Zheng.

Atlas is just the classic anime protag frame, hard hitting against larger enemies, which there are a lot of in the NPC category, and it has the most versitile main weapon in my opinion. I already plan in going Duelist 3, so it would be just a lot of versitility on it.

Zheng is a new one for me, I seen his capabilities as a strong close-quarters striker, and he does DAMAGE, that LL3 is crazy. Honestly I just like the idea of being a powerhouse, and the Zheng does that.

So, which one should I pick? I think Atlas would be a good pick and the one I got my head around first, but recently taking a look at Zheng make me change my ideas a bit

Look, there is many frames in Lancer, but what is your absolute favorite and why? In my case, it is probably the Blackbeard. Don't judge me, but I love Iron-blodded orphans and my first Blackbeard campain was named Barbatos, so I naturally love the melee berserker. The grappling hooks are also PHENOMENAL, but their value was much more increased bc of the GM i had and he letting me do all the crazy stuff with them

I can see myself drawn to Metalmark aswell, because I love Metal Gear Solid and he is just like stealth mech, be invisible and get more out of soft cover, incentifing you using cover instead of going all in like the Blackbeard. It is also astheticly pleasing for me, as I kinda like the head design, reminds me somewhat of the Zenomorph from Alien

So, I'm trying to think for a Jason inspired character for a one-shot im preparing, said character being the main antagonist. A classic horror story with the players, being trainee Lancers, would find something that wasn't in today's training plan... I want the character to drive fear, and for the combat to be an almost impossible thing for them to even consider.

Probably going to make a large gap between the player's LL0 and the villain's, but I'm having more trouble to find the ideal mech, mounts and systems he could use.

My first idea was Blackbeard, scary in melee, able to close distances in a few turns and the nanocarbon blade to make for his iconic machete, just like in the movies. The main thing I have against the idea is Invade, which, if someone takes the hacker talent and make a hacking oriented mech, It would show the flaws of the villain. Of course I can just increase it's systems points, but E-Defense and Heat aren't something the Blackbeard is known for, at least in a good way.

My second and most recent option is the Balor, which, if you know anything about it, you know it's a good call. I just probably won't be using the tech attacks as much as the Balor should, but it might be good. I'm also having problems with systems and mounts, as said earlier.

If you have any tips for how I can do this, let me know! Also open for homebrew ideas, mainly because i'm not the one who will have to deal with them in the campain

So, for context, we were doing a siege mission at this big ship in skyhigh (think as that one mission you fight Viper in Titanfall 2), where we had a mission to bring the commander of the fleet (who was in said ship) and it's important he was ALIVE. So, we went foward and had a "relativly normal" mission, our Goblin handeling the hacks and, SOMEHOW the Barbarossa (don't ask me why we were bringing one of those to the mission) not alerting the entire ship. In the mission, they were actually attacked by the planet's resistance forces with anti-air guns, which made us reaching the target actually easier. We met the dude entering his Monarch in the Hangar in the most left part of the ship (REALLY IMPORTANT), only to, 1 round into combat, one of the anti-air weapons blast a hole in the Hangar, which made most of the people involved to be thrown out of the ship.

So, me with my Blackbeard brain decided to do some trolling, as you had to make a quick action to avoid being sucked out of the ship. I asked my DM "Does falling prone makes it so he is gushed out aswell?" which was a yes, so I used the Drag Down ability in the target and won, making him go prone and out of the ship. Now, did I forgot he needed to be alive? Yes. So me and the team jumped out of the ship to follow the dude. Now, we had a problem, how we were going to survive falling from a ship thousands of meters in the air? Spiderman "Use a helicopter" Blackbeard. As I used my grapple hooks to hold my team and the VIP and chug my last hook into the cargo ship our handler send to pick us up.

Later, when confronting my DM why he blasted a hole in the ship, he told me he rolled actions in the war around the fleet of ships and the resistance, which could influence the battle we were going to face, one of those being "Make a Hole", which was a nat 20 roll. Honestly, I felt like Nathan Drake during that mission so for me it was all good, but poor Blackbeard that had to hold a Goblin, Barbarossa, Monarch and a Manticore all by himself (We used the excuse of the kinetic muscles system being torn off and destroyed just by the sheer amount of weight, which had to be repaired manually in downtime. Forced the Barbarossa to do that cus he 5 Big Mac deep weight was 90% for my system going down)
