So I have a pretty large window right across from my desk and it's been a nightmare. During the day the glare hits my screen directly and I basically have to close the curtains, but then the whole room turns into a cave and I hate working in the dark.

I've tried a couple of desk lamps and a floor lamp but none of them feel right. Either the light bounces off the screen and makes things worse, or I'm constantly fiddling with the angle. Also working on some design stuff so I really can't have the lighting throw off how colors look on screen.

I've been seeing a lot about monitor light bars and the idea makes sense to me (light the desk, not the screen) but I've never actually used one. Does anyone here use one? Does it actually help with glare?

Would love to hear what's working for people, especially if you're doing color-sensitive work.
