Daughter didn’t sign application……need help
My daughter attends CSU and is finishing up her first year. She filled out the FASFA form on November 21st. She said it gave her a “green light” meaning everything was done. I filled out and submitted my portion on 2/15. She just checked her account on 5/5 to see if she was approved for aide and it said she hadn’t signed her application. She immediately signed it and submitted it. Now they say that since her form wasn’t submitted until 5/5 that she won’t qualify for aide or the middle class scholarship (which helps us tremendously with housing and meal plan). She has spoken on the phone with FASFA and they said that since her form wasn’t submitted until 5/5 that that is the date they have to go off of. Can anyone recommend anything that can be done.
