Help with energy levels
Sometimes when I play, I have lots of energy from the get go - I feel explosive around the court and have no problem chasing balls down.
Other times, for reasons I can’t really work out, I have no energy in my legs. I’m sluggish and it almost feels unpleasant to try and be explosive.
This often happens to me when I play early morning before work. I wake up about 40 mins before I start hitting the ball. My friend who I play with has tons more energy.
However, I just played today after work, and felt a similar thing. No energy in the legs.
I do cycle a lot, but I’ve had a couple of days of rest, so I’d be surprised if that was the cause. I suspect it’s something to do with sitting around/sleeping shortly before doing this moderately high intensity exercise. Perhaps diet has something to do with it too, or age? (I’m 34 but quite fit).
Any insight would be great!
