As much as I i love Dybansta, not having to make that hard choice at 1 between Dybansta and DP would cause much less of a headache. When we had the first pick in 2024, we were stressed between taking ZR, Sarr, and clingan. I honestly think DP could turn out to be the best pick in the draft and to just get him by default and not have to stress over that first pick would be fire. Obviously I know Dybansta will be an all-nba guy, but DP is the one guy I would take over anyone. If it wasn’t for the whole cramps thing this season (which now seems pretty understandable given the whole creatine fiasco), DP would be the consensus first overall
Feel like there’s been a bunch of hate towards Quin and his rotations during the playoffs. And I’ll agree they were awful especially towards the end of that series. But he played with this roster for less than 3 months and i think he was just throwing our young guys in the fire just for experience. The Kuminga conundrum is a whole other post just by itself, but I think Quin is a solid coach to build on going forward.
To digress a little, I don’t think Quin will win a championship in Atlanta. But, if we fire him tomorrow who would we even pick up? There’s no one I would even touch with a 10 foot pole (except Rondo and I think he’ll be an amazing coach).
I don’t know about yall, but I’d hate to see the Knicks make it to finals. Even though now I think they’d make it to the finals (especially if the 76ers win tomorrow), but I hope they get swept. FUCK KAT
