Hi all

My router has VPN capabilities built-in. If I use a VPN provider via wireguard or openVPN, will my connection via the Ugreen account relay service be encrypted seamlessly when connecting via the mobile app/remotely or will I need a client of some kind on the remote devices? If yes, can I still use the ugreen mobile app or will I have to access via other means. Typical use will be for uploading photos to the nas remotely but may cover file uploads/downloads also. Thanks.

Just getting my setup together and have ordered a san extreme m.2 500gb for apps and debating between the WD red and 990 pro 1tb for read cache. The pro is cheaper than the WD but wondering if the whole TBW rating is really a thing and worth the extra (I suppose less heat too). This can only be determined by experience I suppose so looking for thoughts?

New to this NAS - can I use the memory on the 128gb SSD that comes with the 4800 Pro for installing apps like the Ugreen Photo app specifically or is the SSD exclusively for the OS only? I have a 1tb SSD in my PC that I was thinking about using in the NAS but it's a few years old (not sure if that makes a difference) and was worried about use of this and wear etc
