Self-taught folks, what courses/books would you recommend to learn hard rock and heavy metal?

I'm looking to get back to playing the guitar after 2 years and looking to get better at 80s hard rock/metal etc. I would really appreciate if you could suggest some resources. Thank you!

With so much abundance of guitar courses, videos, and books, I'm feeling overwhelmed and emotionally paralyzed. Can you suggest some courses that I can treat them as sacrosanct?

Hello there, I'm a self-taught guitarist, learning purely through YouTube and the likes. The issue is that I have managed to get so much stuff that I just don't know what to practice. I want to play hard rock, heavy metal, thrash, and a bit of a Yngwie influence, but I'm realistic as I can devote only 1-1.5 hours/day. Mostly, I'll be happy playing Metallica, Judas Priest, Europe, Motley Crue, Dokken, etc.

I currently have access to Troy Stetina's courses, zillions of YouTube videos, and a shared Lick Library subscription and the courses are giving me analysis paralysis.

I want to know how should I prioritize my learning? I am just tired and overwhelmed fighting this temptation. It's like what courses would you carry with you if you were stuck on a desert island for a year or two with electric guitar and a 10W Katana amp.

I really look forward to know what the wise folks of this sub recommend. Thank you so much!
