Fixed my iron/ferritin and weight loss got easier.

This isn’t medical advice but just wanted to share my experience and what helped me after fighting weight loss for a few years. It felt impossible to lose weight for the longest time, I would eat very little and nothing would happen. It just seemed like I actually was gaining weight no matter what I did. I was tracking my macros and it would help, but it was like fighting against the tide for the amount of work I was putting in.

I got my blood work done and found out that I had chronically low ferritin, which is your iron stores. I worked on fixing them and now my metabolism is running a lot better reflected in my blood work and weight loss has become a lot easier.

Now, some people have weight loss with low iron and ferritin, and some people have weight gain. For me, it seems like my body needed the oxygen in order to jumpstart my metabolism a bit better to burn fat. Anyway, check your bloods…I hope this helps somebody!

Edit: Because people will ask this is what I took

6x caps per day Ancestral Supplememts beef liver

1x cap 250mg lactoferrin (to shuttle iron into bloodstream)

2x 250mg vit c (helps iron absorption too)
