Talentless “Hero” Epidemic
When Shahrukh says he's the last of the stars, I can't deny it when I look at these male "actors" leading movies.
I see every other post bashing current generation actresses but I never see anyone hold the talentless men accountable. If these are the heroes then how can you expect talent out of the actresses opposite them?
Notice how actresses like Kajol, Rani, Katrina, Priyanka, Aishwariya, Preity, Deepika etc flourished because they had to be the best when working with A list actors. If the likes of Janhvi and Rasha were in the 90s then they would never see the light of day.
These actors have not delivered a single clean box office hit in YEARS. They get paid in double digit crores, yet they'll get lucky if their movie has a single digit opening.
The actual A listers like the Khans, Ranbir, Ranveer etc only do 1 movie a year and that leaves the rest for other actors. The issue is that filmmakers are still offering them movies because they are a "known" face. This creates a cycle that keeps giving them work so they can keep overcharging and release bad films.
Filmmakers need to take risks with casting a fresh male lead so they can get these "heroes" replaced.
