So, I’m curious to see who else here feels there’s a chance they possibly have a resistance to addiction?

I (42f) have quite a few psychosocial disabilities and 1 physical one and in all my years I don’t think I’ve been unlucky enough to experience an addiction to any drug or substance. I have definitely had strong cravings to food (ie Chocolate or fried when it’s that time of the month) but nothing to the point of having withdrawals from not taking or consuming more.

I was on endone solidly for 18 months every day and then stopped cold turkey without issue when I found CBD oil did the same thing for me. I’ve been vaping pure weed (so no nicotine) for the past 3 years. Needed to stop cold turkey for 3 weeks when being admitted to a mental health clinic and again no problems. I consume Ritalin everyday and no cravings if I miss a day…

Just curious if this happens to anyone else?

The Australian Disability Pension is a joke. In order to be a successful claimant you have to prove you can’t work more than 15 hours a week. Like, make it 20 at least… the amount people get paid from the pension is so small, 15 hours paid work is nothing… and when you have psychosocial disabilities as your main troubles, some weeks I think I could only put up with 15 hours a week from dealing with others but some weeks I could put up with 20…

Far out
