Hi all, I am looking for some reviews on the MIRHR degree! Haven’t applied yet but am interested.

I currently work in federal government dealing with human rights complaint, write investigation reports and attend mediations and conciliations. Unfortunately my position kind of seems like a dead end at the organization I am at - so I am looking to perhaps move into employee / labour relations or workplace investigations. I have four years of experience here, two of which being part time / co op because I was in uni doing my bachelors.

The MIRHR program is super interesting to me, but as someone who doesn’t have direct HR experience I wonder how useful it would actually be in pivoting my career and how much money I could expect to make upon graduation. I don’t really want to downgrade and I am making around 80k rn…

Have also looked at the MIR program at Queens but I think I prefer to be in Toronto for opportunities…

Happy for any PMs or lmk below your experience, thank youuu!!!
