I’m choosing a camera and have been looking at the Canon EOS R50. I opened the manual and saw that it has focus bracketing, but it doesn’t work with flash — how does that make sense?

Which modern APS-C camera would you recommend for macro photography? Nikon, Sony, Canon?

I don’t want an OM System camera, as I feel like it’s becoming outdated.

I guess what I’m really looking for is a camera similar to OM System — but not OM 😄

Something compact and convenient for macro, with good focus bracketing, ideally usable in real-world conditions (not just on a tripod).

I’m mainly considering APS-C options from Canon, Nikon, or Sony, but I’m not sure which system gets closest to that “OM-style” experience.
