How accurate is “The Good Place”s ideology?

So basically the idea is that no one can actually get into heaven because the modern western world causes so much pain and suffering that every action taken by the citizens causes more negative effects then any good they could possibly do.

The idea is solid and is giving me somewhat of a moral crisis. So how accurate is it? Is more pain and suffering caused by living a “normal” day to day life in the US then any good one could do? Is it even quantifiable?

I say the US bc that’s where I live. But if anyone has data/info on how this applies to other countries I would appreciate it as well.

Edit - this post isn’t meant to be about how Christian scripture is interpreted, but how much good/pain is caused by living your day to day life
