What do you guys when Job applications have mandatory current and expected salary fields? Am I hurting my chances if I write NA or whatever lowest number the system will take?

What do you guys do when current and expected salary are required fields in a j0b application? Am I hurting my chances if I write N/A or whatever lowest number the system will take in these fields?
