Newly arrived PR seeking advice
Hi everyone, would appreciate your advice on the issue mentionned above ; basically this is my first week in Richmond, Vancouver and I'm trying to figure it out what would be the best course of actions for the trifecta of my banking accounts (Chequing, Credit Card, HISA). I am new to credit cards as we do not have them in my country of origin.
My current research has steered me to select Simplii ; as my current Airbnb location is close to a CIBC branch.
I think I am in no rush to open a credit card line as I am currently unemployed but will soon remedy to that by applying and joining S.U.C.C.E.S.S as well as going to networking events. But also RBC's $500 credit card to unemployed newcomers doesn't seem half bad as it can help me build credit a tiny bit...
Additionnaly, my family will be sending me wires on occasion ; are there any bank that offers "no fees" on incoming wires / any way to optimize it through Wise ?
