Hi everyone,

This might be a bit unusual in 2026, but I’m looking for someone interested in playing a traditional correspondence chess game by physical mail (actual letters or postcards, not online platforms).

I’m based in Spain and my level is roughly intermediate (not a beginner, but far from expert). Ideally, I’d like to find someone of a similar strength who enjoys slower, thoughtful chess and the experience of playing this way.

What I have in mind:
- Moves sent by post using algebraic notation
- A relaxed pace (e.g., 1 move every few days or per week, depending on distance)
- Friendly but serious play
- Open to agreeing on rules regarding book use / engine use beforehand

I’m mainly doing this for the experience — I like the idea of slowing the game down and making it more tangible.

If you’re interested, comment here and we can work out the details.

Thanks!
