Hi everyone,

does anyone here have experience with the sunroof on an BMW E39?

I have a 523i where the sunroof opens fine, but it won’t close. I noticed that on one side the cable that pulls the mechanism back is broken. I’ve already ordered a replacement cable.

Can anyone tell me what needs to be removed or disassembled in order to replace the cable?

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!
