Wow. These popups started to happen when Microsoft wanted me to upgrade to Windows 11.
I upgrade to Windows 11 AND THEY ARE STILL HAPPENING. If anything — IT’S WORSE NOW! Asking me about OneDrive and all the other office suite slop applications 😡
I had created a local account specifically for my workstation, I simply just don’t need anything else! Nothing on my PC needs to be connected or backed up to the cloud! I do it manually with my files that are important.
Remind me in 3 days? Remind me never again! Does anyone know how I can turn this off? 😞
EDIT // I used WinaeroTweaker to disable literally any telemetry, ads and AI. I’ll have an answer in 3 days to see if it actually did something 😆 (Thanks u/YukariBerry!)
EDIT 2 // the next person to tell me it’s the notification settings in system settings — they were already both unchecked when I checked after a reddit comment suggesting this, after the pop up this morning. Not sure if it’s weird behaviour due to winutil I used previously to debloat my slopOS, but yeah.
“Suggest ways to get the most out of Windows and finish setting up this device” — unchecked.
“Get tips and suggestions about using Windows” — ALSO unchecked.
