Thank you so much for the responses and advice on my prior post. It has been so appreciated. You were all so helpful the first time, I decided to reach out again after my searches were not helpful. I was born and adopted in California, specifically Santa Clara County. I've been searching through the superior court forms to find the right document to petition the court to unseal my original birth certificate and adoption decree. In the forms specifically for Santa Clara County, I can't find anything that fits. In other counties, such as Stanislaus and Sonoma County, they have forms and guidance specifically for my scenario. But nothing seems to line up with either the forms for Santa Clara County or the state ones. Can someone point me in the right direction for the correct forms? I did reach out to the county clerk for Santa Clara, but they directed me to the site for when I've already gotten the court order granting my request. I am stuck.
In the reading I've done, I've read that I will really need an attorney to help with this process. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I've also tried to find an attorney in the Santa Clara area, who could handle this, would it be Family Law that I need? The ones I've reached out to have said that they don't handle these sorts of things.
I'm sorry for being so long-winded. I know this is going to be a very long process, and I really want to stop spinning my wheels and make some progress. Thank you all so much!
