Chipped shower glass safe?

I have a contractor install a show partition and did not notice until after that there was a chip in the edge of it. Of course I already paid him, and he's trying to avoid me. How safe is it to use this? Supposedly this is tempered glass.

Is this chipped bathroom glass safe?

Not sure the best subreddit to post this.

I had a glass contractor add a shower screen and after install (and of course after payment), I noticed a big chip that we definitely did not do. The contractor is trying to avoid replacing it, and I am wondering if this is safe? Supposedly this is tempered glass.
