A friend of mine had a discussion with me last night regarding what racism meant, surprisingly both of our definitions were different. He then proceeded to make a comment that specifically targeted white Americans and i won’t say but I told him it was a racist remark, it proceeded to a back and forth argument as he claims that black people cant be racist because we don’t hold power and that he’s being prejudiced, so I proceeded to argue that “racism” has a set of categories which systemic, interpersonal, and ideological all fall into “racism” by definition, am I right on this? or are we both right but are heavily misguided?
