With finance being a major reason for choosing abortion (1), I think pro-life organizations have significant opportunities for saving life. If assistance can be provided, women might be guided to nurturing life, rather than destroying it. I have seen Human Coalition (2) and Save Unborn Life (3) doing these sorts of things, along with a more local group in Iowa. I imagine that there are a lot of organizations out there that I have not even heard of, but I'm starting to think that the "soft" approach to saving life could be more effective than legislative efforts. Then, of course, reducing poverty in general is a good goal with a positive side effect of reducing certain financial incentives for abortion.
