I just launched Chess Football on iOS and Android.
It’s a turn-based strategy game built around a simple twist: chess pieces, football objective. The ball starts in the center, pieces fight for possession, captures can steal the ball, and one goal wins. No checkmate.
I wanted it to feel familiar in the first 10 seconds, then slowly become its own thing once you start planning attacks around the ball instead of the king.
It’s free to play, with optional Premium for the hardest AI, undo and extra visual styles.
You can try it here: chessfootball.app
Choose Play Store or App Store from the site.
I attached a short gameplay video. I’d love feedback on whether the rules are understandable from the first game, because that’s the hardest part with a chess variant.
