I've been taking Vyvanse for about 6 weeks. I'm super sensitive to medication so I started off at 10mg, which worked great, and then moved up to 20mg where I've been for a month or so. I've tried 30mg a couple times and it feels like Adderall, a bit too activating and it really kills my appetite for the entire day. I don't even get hangry, just don't eat until it wears off and then I stay up too late.

Anyways, my concern is that it literally takes 3 entire hours for the medication to kick in and for me to get moving. I'm a student right now with a pretty flexible schedule, so it's not like I'm showing up late to work every day, but I do find it a bit embarrassing that I am so unproductive in the mornings and I'd like to be able to do things the first half of the day. Like today, I just need to drop off a check about 20 minutes away and all I have planned is to shower and do some chores. I took my dose at 8:30 and it's now 12:15 and I am finally able to sit up and consider getting out of bed. Granted, this is better than my unmedicated days but I still feel like the first half of the day is lost despite me being medicated.

Does anyone else experience this? Should I just bite the bullet and try 30mg for a week to see if it gets me moving a little faster? Is a morning booster even a thing? Caffeine is a no-go for me, I finally kicked the habit after years and am quite enjoying the lack of heart palps and nail-biting anxiety. Also, taking it earlier in the day still doesn't seem to help the 3 hour delay, and I can't wake up much earlier than 8am.
