Worth swapping Inspire SCS for a Rep setup (+$3k)?
Current setup: Inspire SCS cage with Smith and pulleys, plus bench, leg curl, and preacher curl attachments. Dumbbells.
I’m planning to buy the dial motion leg developer and a new Rep Nighthawk or Pro Athlete bench either way.
Room is 13x17 with a Peloton I can relocate. Wife wants space for plyo boxes and kettlebells.
Debating whether to sell the Inspire and put \~$3k more toward either (a) a smaller-footprint Rep rack with external Smith, or (b) the Ares 2.0. The Inspire works fine, but I’m never going back to a public gym and want a system I can keep adding attachments to (dips, etc.) without eating up storage space.
Is the upgrade worth it, or am I chasing gains I won’t feel?
